Sprung on Spring: 2016's Best Trends of the Season
Hello lovers of fashion,
Spring is here! Well, in about 20 days or so.... but, nonetheless, Spring is in the air! I've seen some unforgettable trends emerge from NYFW this past February, and I have to say, I'm in LOVE! From tailored, boho chic....to everyone's favorite staple: denim. Take a look at some of Spring 2016's best looks.
Designers have fallen in love with lace - from tops, to skirts, to romantic dresses, everything points to a regained sense of femininity. Lace is continuously increasing its timeless beauty when you thought it couldn't get any better. It bears a new level of sophistication for 2016.
Vintage influences are back on track. Lace is commonly used as a feminine accent, like this chic tulle & lace skirt.
Choose romance this Spring. This romantic silhouette gives a smooth transition from day to night.
Shrug It Off: The Cold Shoulder
This season, designers gave us the "cold shoulder" when this trend took over the runways. The collarbone is the most important feature for Spring. If a designer had a chance to show them off, they took it. Designer Wes Gordon has said, "Nothing is less sexy than the obvious and expected." The shoulders are getting their time to shine this season.
Everyone will be giving the cold shoulder this Spring. The fringe below the neckline of this dress adds a little fun and interest to the trend.
I love this top because it gives a subtly sexy and effortlessly chic cold shoulder. Not to mention, it pairs perfectly with almost any bottom.
It's seriously not Spring without stripes. Whether they're vibrant, bold, irregular, curled, or chopped, stripes have made their way in almost every designers' collection. In any silhouette, from casual T-shirts to festive cocktail dresses, reach for bright, contrasting hues to make a head-turning statement.
Head to toe stripes will make them all stare. The cutout on the back of this top is surely head-turning.
The bold, contrasting colors of this top make for the perfect casual outfit. Blue vs. white in this outfit really makes a statement.
Pink fashion is making a comeback. Softer versions of the candy pink color are all over the runways this season, especially blush pink. Even though it was your favorite color when you were 5, pink still gives every girl that flirty, girly feeling.
Femininity is so powerful. The blush pink perfectly compliments the ivory color in this girly dress.
Festival season is upon us. Fringe and suede will forever be the perfect couple. They're featured perfectly in this blush pink tank.
Love & Light,
